Problems

The P2E and Web3 GameFi markets are booming, with over 3,000 games released annually, including those on TMA and other platforms.

However, despite many games featuring innovative and interesting mechanics, the vast majority—over 90%—fail shortly after launch.

This isn’t due to a lack of creativity but a shortage of the necessary competencies, resources, and infrastructure for managing and promoting games post-launch.

Most of these games are developed by indi or small teams who lack the expertise to scale their projects, run effective marketing campaigns, manage token economies, or maintain user engagement through LiveOps.

Problems that developers often struggle with:

Game testing and optimization: Without comprehensive testing environments, games often launch with poor user experience, or unbalanced mechanics, leading to high player churn and negative reviews.

Distribution and promotion: The process of promoting a game in the oversaturated market is a daunting task without access to professional marketing tools and professionals for it.

Technical support and analytics: Many developers lack the necessary infrastructure and tools to provide technical support and gather meaningful analytics. This makes it difficult to monitor game performance, understand player behavior, and quickly resolve technical issues.

Monetization challenges: Building sustainable in-game economies and optimizing Play-to-Earn (P2E) mechanisms is complex. Poorly structured monetization models can lead to player dissatisfaction, inflation of in-game currencies, or a collapse of the game economy, undermining long-term success.

User acquisition optimization: Acquiring new users at a reasonable cost is the most challenging aspects for game developers. UA requires an understanding of various marketing channels, A/B testing, and the ability to scale campaigns without increasing costs.

Scaling resources: As games grow, scaling up servers, player support, and in-game features becomes essential. Many studios lack the technical and operational capacity to handle increased traffic, leading to downtime, poor performance, and frustrated players.

LiveOps: Managing a game post-launch is critical to keeping players engaged and maintaining consistent revenue. Developers often lack the expertise or resources to run effective LiveOps programs, such as in-game events, content updates, and player retention strategies. Without continuous updates and player engagement, games quickly lose impulse.

Tokenomics: For WEB3 GameFi games, designing and managing a balanced and sustainable tokenomics model is vital. Many developers have problem to create models that attract both players and investors while maintaining the economic integrity of the game.

Token Listing & Exchange: Developers also face difficulties in listing their game’s tokens on exchanges. Listing requires navigating complex regulatory landscapes, meeting exchange requirements, and ensuring liquidity.

Lack of transparency and scam risks: High risk of fraud, especially in ecosystems such as TON and Telegram. Most tokens and projects are not properly regulated, which raises concerns among players and investors.
